mm.. I'm on the marulia train.. never seen a marulia that small.. but I have seen a marulioides that small and it doesn't look like that..

Why can't you take a photo of it in a tank? Would be a lot easier to give you better ID.

Marulius; when mine was a juvenile that is what he looked like! They grow really fast I hope you're ready!

It's a channa melanoptera as it doesn't have the eye spot on the tail. Channa marulius and channa maruloides have eye spot on the tail.

I don't think it is marulius. Marulioides or maybe Melanoptera like King-eL said.
Is it with or without tail spot?
For sure, Hope u update pic again maybe next month and in glasstank too.
