Hi ya'll,
I'm new to the board and tried doing a search for info, and it told me to post and introduce myself. i guess this is to keep the amout of trollers and ghost down to a minimum. i can appreciate that, I'm involed in a few boating forums like this.
anyways i live in south florida, avid diver, being keeping freashwater fish for years and finnally took the "plung" to keep salt tanks. I have a friend getting a free tank that comes with a lungfish. so i saw this web site in a magazine and thought i'd look for info on it. anyways, I'll be buggin ya'll for a while!

I'm near a ton of canals. they are all C-somthing or other. my dad usd to take us out on C-18 a lot when i was a kid. used to live in lauderdale and would go fishing for peacocks alot. cool fish. but im not much on fishing. don't like killing a fish as a by product of a sport, ya know.

man i was afraid that part would be taken wrong, I didn't mean to say fishing is bad or anything. but i recently tried going salt water fishing again after not doing it for a few years. we caught about 2 dozen bait fish and that was about it. ended up killing over half of them throughout the night, useing them and letting them sit in the bucket. just didn't seem to make much sense to me. but i would have eaten what i caught. with bass fishing
It is almost inevitable that some one will swallow a hook and you will fight to get it out of them only to pull some vital organ out of the fish. Simply put, I don't want to do it anymore. but im not bashing fishing!

Welcome to MFK Jay R.
Bug us anytime, trust me it gets addicting sometimes that you feel the need to post. I don’t like killing fish as well, but whoever said that fishing would kill the fish? :D Aside from Trout 95% of the fish I catch live and some of them, well…..I should say most of them make awesome pets! LOL!
