hi!!!!brudders...
my datniod has got some growth on the tail...any brudders know wat wrong with this fellow? any cure?
i have already tried adding in salt, increase temp, melafix and seems like when that particular part recovered, another part will pop out another growth like that. Help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cry:
please advise me on the medication on whether it is hazardous to any of my tankmates....thanxs :cheers:

btw, i also did several times of WC of 20% each time. i have also added in some medication for open sores and also reduce the feeding amount.
Continue adding salt, up to 1 tablespoon per 3 gallons of water.
Once these are gone, add nitrofurazone once it clears out.

my brudder, you must add pimafix with melafix, those two combine will quickly regenerate the tissue, read the bottle it says so.

i had tried melafix already...but not pimafix cos i thought that pimafix is for treatment for fungus infection.

do you mean tuberculosis? pathology is wrong for that while it may cause skin ulcerations those don't look like ulcerations and he fish doesn't look emaciated
and thats a common sympton hence the nickname ''wasting disease''-Anne
but hey of the 2 i'll take lymphocystis at least humans can't catch it

Thanks Beblondie, that is what I meant, it has always weirded me out due to chance of cross species transmission.
