The state that I live in doesn't allow them because some people release them into the natural water ways and they start to populate. This can be a big problem for the natural fish and habitat. So they did away with allowing pet stores and people owning them. :(

I wish, Mine is about 6 inches and he's in a 65 gallon tank with some other fish, convicts and plecos. But he will sometimes eat other, weaker fish. I try to feed him beefheart and pellets.
