Much thanks to all the participants! We have some amazing entries! Also a great big thanks to Cheech (from AC) for helping me with the formatting. It was a bit much for my feeble computer skills.
Please keep in mind, the entries are supposed to be confidential. Anyone found to be soliciting votes will be disqualified. Now, onto the submissions!

those are some absolutely amazing carvings! I made one of these and know how hard it was so therefor I would just like to give my deepest respect to the artistry of the others who entered!

wanna know how #10 get that pinkish/orangish hued glow on the surface on its pumpkin it would look very good on one of my jack-o-laterns wanna figure it out before halloween for trick-o-treaters

So the area I live in is full of people who like to take your pumpkins in the middle of the night and smash them on your sidewalk. I have an entry on here and if it gets smashed I'll be pissed.

I rather have those cruel pranksters than have drug dealers or gangstas wannabes running around with real guns.
EVERY one of the entries deserve a case with a lock on it like those in the museums- smash proof!

no offense to the asian aro but I would actually expect the goldie to hold the lead with the aro as number 2 because if all the detail and "shadows" on the goldie is intended its a freakin' masterpiece..

Artistically. #2 would be the call. Sure the gold and the aro are well done, but it took a little bit more thought to make number2. Originality gets my vote.

Hey proteus, about that pumpkin quetion , when you clean out the seeds and glop you shave down the inner wall of the pumpkin where you are going to carve and make it thinner so the light will show through, like when you hold a flash light under your hand and you can see through your fingers.

Two is my favorite.
Not only is it a fantastic design, but it lets out a good amount of light. To actually make a functional pumpkin, this is essential.
Although for me 2 has the most detail, I did not choose it becuase it does not really look MFKish (aside form those boobs). So instead I chose 10

I designed mine with photoshop first then made a paturn out of that. Then it was all traditional pumpkin tools and a dremel from there.
I already have ideas for next year.:headbang2
