hi there, i was talking with a friend who has a marine aquarium and he asked me if i wanted some coral, free, coz he wants to get rid of some... i told him that i couldn't coz my tank is brackish, and not fully marine.. he then replied that i could, that the coral could live in brackish... now i wasn't sure coz i thought mabye he was trying to just offload some stuff on me... but he is sure of himself that coral does not need all the special stuff that marine aquariums are famous for... like not as much maintanence as the actual marine fiah need...
so is this possible as i am taking the gravel out of my tank in 2 days and replacing it with sand... so could i keep some coral in with the archers, or is this not a good idea, also do i not need like shrimp to tend the coral... so is this a good idea??? thanks very much in advance...

confused, lost, and lonely
I think the closest you will come is coraline algae and a few sponges and bryzoans.
