i am hoping to puchase a 180 gal tank. any info about set-up and hand on walleye knowledge would be a great help thanks.

180 should be a good size tank for a walleye. But if you could get ahold of a few sauger they might fair better as they tolerate warmer water. If you stay with walleye I would keep the tank in a cool place and keep the water below 70, even better keep it closer to 65 or lower.
