Where eva theres Cichla!!!
hey,

I just moved 1 of my peices of driftwood and roughed up the gravel a lil bit and when i put the cover glass back on and stood back to view the changes i'd made, i noticed that i had these tiny lil red worm things swimmin round my tank...what the hell are they? it wouldnt be live BW would it? i feed them feeders and frozen bloodworms...
My question is....when u feed fish frozen BW, any bits that arnt eaten do they "thoar" out so to speak and live?

No they are not frozen bloodworms coming back to life.:WHOA: There are several small wiggly creatures they could be. Nothing to worry about they are just eating uneaten food ,waste ,etc.If you were keeping small tropicals they would eat them. You can reduce their number by cleaning the tank and gravel more.

Na, they wouldn't be resurrected bloodworms, could be planaria though. Do they look like this??

Every once in a while I get some tiny wormies kind of swimming like cork-screws.. they get eaten by the cichlids but I would be interested in what they are as well !!

Dont look like that pic.. as far as I can tell mine appear white & are about 1/4 inch long & quite thin,,

I get one small type of white worm every so often that when the sand is disturbed they swim around. What I have is just one of the many various types of bristle worms. The ones I have are harmless and my rainbow fish eat them, but they are just annoying more than anything.
