its gunna be a native tank.

that's gonna be an incredibly thick and expensive piece of glass/acrylic. It would just be a plywood tank. When you think of a pond, indoor or out you generally assume that you only have a top view. You'll have a plywood tank

im getting two sheets. 2'10" x 4' 9" each, theres will be a brce in the center of the tank. for 3/4" acrylic its $553 or for a 1/2" glass, its $435. ill prolly go with glass 'cause it wont scratch as easily and large catfish tend to kick up the substrate alot, wich could scratch the glass/acrylic easily.

I would go with glass. Much easier to remove algae.

Before you drill the first guide hole, ditch the nail gun. Use SS screws all around. The won't 'pull' like nails will.

i will post pics, but i dont know when ill actually start the process. i need a few weekends with absolutly nothing to do....i'll be putting at least one flathead catfish in it. mayber a few bass (largemouth or peacock) and maybe an RTC. but the RTC would make it a non native tank so im not sure, and im hoping to find a gold gar!

I dont think 3/4" acrylic is suficent to hold back 1300g at 36" deep, or maybe I read this wrong. most 1000g+ acrylic tanks I have seen have been constructed of atleast 1.25" acrylic, Granted I havent seen many. but the MFG, should get you the PSI rating then the math is all yours. I don't know how much pressure 1300g produces at 36" depth

Sounds like a great project.
