i know that shovelnose sturgeons are coldwater, but could they live in room temperature? because i am planning on getting one and having it share a (divided) tank with my west african lungfish.

They can live at room temp. but I don't think it should be to warm. Welcome to ]V[FK

They are listed as living in water up to 68 degrees F. maximum, at that temp. they need higher O2 levels. the two that I see living at up too 76 F. are the Gulf and the shortnosed sturgeons.

Yes keep a close eye on the temp. but you should like these guys because I once saw them at a public aquarium where you could pet them and they were very freindly and felt like leather so if you want to pet your fish that should be fine with it.

sounds good to me. it should be interesting to compare how different a sturgeon feels to a lungfish :D
