i was turning off the lights one by one in my saltwater tank a few weeks back, as i gazed in with only the actinics on i saw a small what seemed to be a "micro millipede"?? i dont know what it is, have any of you seen millipede like creatures in your saltwater tanks? it was crawling across the front glass but went quickly down into the substrate before i could get the camera out. i was about 2 cm long 1 mm wide . i was thrilled at the sight of it, any ideas?

They make traps for them so it shouldn't be to hard.

i read that unless they are overfed they wont multiply to extreme numbers and should stay under control by only multiplying to suit the food supply. if i get any monster 6"ers ill rip them out with pliers or if there get to be too many i read coral banded shrimp or arrow crabs will take care of them.

From what I have read, the ones that you have to worry about are the ones from the carribean. Pacific variaties are not as harmful. But for good control, you could try the dottybacks. Bristleworms are also beneficial to the reef because they do eat leftoverfood. And they eat fish that die.
