Update time. Just a small update. Thought you guys would like to know that I moved my filamentosum(or capapretum whichever it is) to it's own tank and it's really healed up nicely and grown at least 3" in the past month and a half. My jur still lives with my limas, and the jau is on his own for now also. You can see the sizes in my sig. In case anyone didn't know Both lumpy, and bumpy died mysteriously. Seems to have been swim bladder related. The big boy has been eating good again, and consumed 2 lbs of shrimp just last night. I'll try to get some more pics later, but heres some of the fila, and my new baby marble. The marble was listed as a pseudo catfish for some reason.

Don't have one, just a plain marble that was labeled as a pseudo catfish. lol. When the guy from the lfs called and said that I had a pseudo cat on hold at his shop I rushed over and couldn't find it anywhere. Instead there was this marble labeled pseudo cat(reserved for Clifford) right on the glass:ROFL:

For all the fish I have in it? Not long it's just temporary until the big tank is finished. I've seperated the oscars out to the big boy's tank to hopefully keep the stocking levels of both ponds about the same until it's finished. Then I'll slowly combine them all into the 4000 gal.

More pics of the Fila! I can't enjoy mine fully with side shots for now only overhead but he's looking beefy and doing great. I'd say the streamers on my Fila are a good 5".

How big is your guy now? Mine is pushing 14" and is finally eating shrimp. Looking just now I'd say his streamer is around 8". I don't hear of too many other MFKr's posting up on their's. Makes me wonder just how many are still around. I almost lost mine when he sliced the side of his face off on some drift wood. Also cut his eye in half. It was pretty rough for a while, but man he's really made a comeback.

amazing fish. your TSN x RTC made me think of my old TSN Mr. Shnoz. he was almost a foot before i gave him away. 75g too small. but i visit him at a fish store once in a while

He's doing more bulking back up after his winter fast. His water stayed really cool this winter and he didn't eat for around 3-4 months. He's done that for the past two winters now. Then he'll bulk up and start growing again during the summer when I feed him a ton. Trying to come up with some homemade pellets for him. Need to get some ice trays. I don't feed him much at a time every other day right now. I give him maybe two handfulls of shrimp right now, and some cichlid pellets that he steels from the oscars in with him. I'm hoping that he will break the 4' mark, but if he makes it to the 5' mark I'll take it!

Slow night at work. Just read the whole thread. Pure Awesomeness this is basically a shopping list of all the cats I hope to have room for someday. Its great seeing the rtc go from the 10gal(lol) up to the monster he is now. I've also been following your tank build for awhile now, best of luck with all these beasts and keep up with the pics!

just got a niger and slobbering cat today. The slobbering catfish was DOA, but would have been gorgeous if it had lived. I'm debating on weather to get a refund or just have another one shipped. Been wanting one for a long time. Was very sad to see that fish and it not be alive! The niger is great and I'm very happy to have it although the jur and lima don't really like him! he's 6" right now and hopefully he'll be eating and growing like mad very soon. :headbang2

That's what I'm thinking, but they don't ship well at all. I'd be out around $150 in shipping costs alone if the next one didn't make it alive.:(

Really need to finish the 4000, but I don't know when I'll get another chance to get this fish again. I think I'm gonna take the refund so that I can put it towards this tank build. I just can't afford to have this fish shipped right now.

sadly my RTC, TSN and marble all died last night. they were stuck in a 125 with a dead 15" vennezulen pike for 4 DAYS!!!
my legs broke so im not down there all the time and my parents told me about the problem sunday. he died wednesday according to my mom.
so now i got the pond setup and what not cause thats where i put 'em and now the water perems. are back in place and what not. *sigh*

I also wanted to ask you if you think getting a 2,200 gallon metal frame pool from wallmart at 140 bucks on special will be good to make for an indoor pond. measurements are 12x8x3 ft??
