I am new to Clown Knifes. I picked up two at the local Petsmart recently. One had two rows of stripes and the other had six spots. I gave the one with stripes to my nephew and then bought two more. The picture in the first post prompted me to go count spots on one of the new ones. It won't hold still but I counted 21 spots. I have tried to take pictures of my bichirs and found that my camera will not do close ups. I might be able to borrow a friends soon and get a pic posted.
Thats a great knife! Love the color.

I've seen plenty of CKs with loads of spots but that one takes the cake. Didn't know something like that was even possible!

Actually come to think of it, my brown knife was in that same petsmart bag. He just isn't showing up in the picture.

I have a CK with lots a spots but they are way more randomly located than that one. Gorgeous fish though, i wonder how large it is.
As for the plain CK...there is a seldom seen species that is pretty much silver/grey and gets huge, i believe its the largest of the three CKs....would be a great pick up :).
