I have had a pup moto ray going on about 3 weeks now. He has eaten little to none since I've had him and I believe he is dying now. He has been in one of the corners of the tank for a day now just pulsing his disk.. by pulsing i just mean its waving like when they swim but hes just on the ground not going anywhere. I have tried feeding, krill, market prawn, worms, silversides, frozen bloodworms, shrimp pellets, brine shrimp. I dont think hes gonna make it.... i dont think i want to keep rays anymore as this is my first attempt

sorry to hear about it. but ya, raising the temperature to 28degrees really helps the ray become more active. It works on my baby pdr, after the water gets warmer, it swims more, compared to just parking there..

The ray was only my best estimate a 3-4 inch disk. I read that when motoro pups are born they are about that size.. Is it more than likely I bought a newborn who probably had never even got his first meal.. The place I bought it from had 5-6 of them in with about 75 red tail catfish babies... in a 240 and I know they never got to eat with them around...
