What does everone think of keeping tiger shovelnose cats They get pretty massive too.

I am not a big fan of Catfish but this is one of the only Catfish that I like (Tiget Shovelnose, not any other Shovelnose). I wish I had a tank big enough to keep a full grown one. I have kept some babies in the past... Those things get some 50"?

I just love mine, only have one tiger shovelnose wish I had some more!!!
my 8" surprisingly active
eats octopuss, smelt, mp
bothers no tanks mates

TO BAD YOU DONT LIVE IN DELAWARE THEY HAVE PLENTY OF THEM IN THE STORE NEXT TO ME FOR 12 DOLLARS 2-3 INCHES BOUGHT ONE MYSELF VERY FAST GROWERS CANT BELIEVE THE AMOUNT OF FOOD THEY CAN CONSUME JUST LIKE A REDTAIL CAT

if you can get a large enuf tank to house one thats cool If not you need to make sure you will be able to get it off your hands when larger. Alot of peiople dont want them big some do.

I have had a few this size that they were 6 inches off the bottom because of eating so much ! :welcome:

they get to about 120centimetres. i have 2 in a 300g tank. they rock my world!!!!!!!

I have one in my 210 gallon with my black arowana and a school or jurapari. Couldnt be happier. I just have to make sure to toss in some live food for him every once in a while. Makes a great arowana tank make, hes not aggrasive towards larger fish and pretty much just chills all day. Until I toss in a smaller koi. Bot him and my aro are about a foot and a half. Have a 8x4 acrylic tank on order for em. whoohoo
