Hello everybody, I was wonderin if a Jack Dempsey, Convict, and a Green Terror could live in a 55gal. Not peacefully but live. I know there will be chasing but c'mon give me a break there will not be fighting to the death. Remember, I didn't say convict pair. And from my friends experience with Green Terrors they only grow ummm 7". So thank you.

I HAD to edit that man, all caps. lock is ANNOYING to read...;)

Well from the sound of things your already know the answer and are just trying to get your post count up, like you stated in another thread. However I will answer your question anyway....;). It will work for a little while, but all those cichlids get large, and all of them are aggressive. As they mature they are gonna grab larger and larger territorial space, which will make more conflict. Point in case is you are going to have A LOT of unhappy fish with torn/shredded fins. You could keep them solo in that size of a tank, but in the long run you couldn't keep them together as mature adults. If you had a 75gal or larger it greatly increases your odds...;)

:iagree: with Peanut...I'd choose one of the species and go with a breeding pair. that would be your best chance for success.

green terrors and jds both grow pretty slowly, but a jack can get up to 8-10 inches, and green terrors even a little bit bigger, and both will get more aggressive as they grow. the convict will eventually get messed up. maybe just get the jd and the green terror at a pretty small size and they should do well in a 55 gallon for a while, just remember at some point you will need to upgrade
