They really are not that aggressive when compared to their cousins.
They are indeed very fast swimmers and need more room then other fish their own size. They eat anything and grow quickly.. they can easily get 20+ inches so watch your ass.
Locals aquariums have them up to 3 feet.

I recommend you not get a couple (2) of dorados... either keep a single speciman, or get an odd numbered group of them (3, 5, 7, 9, etc.) :) GL!

Yes a group of droados is better than 2 or 3. They tend to show agression to each other in smaller numbers. they like to rip each other's eyes out.

i agree with jed if you want to keep more than one specimen these guys will do much better in a large schools, and if you dont want to get a big group of these guys you are better off just keeping one with a bunch of other fish

Agreed with the above. I keep a group of 15 in a 1300 gallon tank and they eat and eat and eat and grow and grow and grow....... They do beat on the other tankmates, but during feeding time is when other fish get hurt, cuz these guys only have one thing on their mind, no matter who or what gets in their way. Its quite fun to watch the frenzy.
Basically I feed them till they can't anymore, then I feed the other fish.
They are very neat and can get quite large as previous posters have stated. good luck.

They are voracious eaters. Aside from swimming wildly, they startle easy, at least in my experience. All in all, a very cool fish, but needs lots of room.

:headbang2 I gave $25.00 wholesale , that's about $75.00 retail , at about 4" long. I've had it for 3 or 4 months and it's already 9" or so total length.
