How Many People Have YOU Referred To MFK???

Aight, here's how this is gonna go down. If you referred anyone to MFK, :headbang2 you
speak up, say how many, (If you know) and what their name's are, (if you know) and the
stories of it. If you didn't refer anyone, tell your comments/stories of the idiots you tried
to refer to the site (If any).

I'll kick us off with the person I referred today and the person
I tried to refer. I was at Meijer and this guy was looking at the fishtanks (later found out
he works there). I asked him if he had any fish, he said he had 2 percula clowns, and 2
lionfish, a dwarf and a volitan, :WHOA: and I forget the rest (I don't keep saltwater fish
and I have a SHORT attentain span, A DEADLY combonation). So, after this discovery of
his keeping monsters I immediatly asked him if he knew about MFK, (helping the
movement:thumbsup:) he said no, I told him about it. I told him the URL and my name
and that was it. He said he'd check it out when he gets home. :naughty:

I tried to refer my LFS owner when he was talking about a forum for Pet Supplies "Plus"...my LFS. I
asked him if he's ever heard of MFK, he said he had, he was gonna join but he moved. He
said he will get on when he gets his internet up in his new home. So let's see who else has
referred anyone...

i have handed out many of the business cards but i ran out and am waiting for more Peanut_Power only gave me so many but i also landed a stack at my friends fish store so hopefully that will get alot more people from my area to join.... most of my friends just get on to see pics not use the forums so boooooo them.......

Dude, are you kidding me?!? This site is all I ever talk about. Many of my friends do not have computers, but they come over here and ask me what have I learned from here and what cool pics can I show them. I told my daycare lady about this site and I am not sure if she checked it out yet or not. However, after she seen my 2 tanks, it made her want to start a tank and now she calls me with questions. I am lovin it. Can't wait to get my package so I can make the movement bigger! Hell, my hubby is hooked to this as much as I am. I always share stories with him.

I tried to get 1 of my co-workers to join after finding out he had an aligator gar and an oscar. He said he was going to then shut down his tank and bought a lizard. I told him that there was a forum on here for lizards but he is BSing about joining. I make mention every once and a while but i think hes just being polite. Once i get my package ill talk to more people. (wish i had my bracelet and decals too)

Well, DeLgAdO, I am all alone except for my brother-in-law. I JUST met the guy at meijer... Also, you should put some tank decals in your LFS... You will most likely start seeing people from your hometown.

I post about MFK in other fish forums... And my avatar at the Age of Aquariums is the MFK logo. Some friends of mine who keep large and/or predatory fishes already joined. caio.Sampaio is one of these. ;)
Some others are Pola and Le Avari... Don't know if they are already on-board, though. :D
Unfortunately, most fishkeepers around, especially the younger ones, can't handle the english language. :grinno:

In my Marine Biology Classes (4) I tell all my friends about the MFK web-site. But I try to keep my I.D. secret, you know, the sith thing to do. Also the LFS workers and owners. But to me, they're already like family, so they know about the movement.:naughty:

I talk about this site to anyone who listen to me. I have only gotten one person I know to join but I know a lot of people have checked it out anyway. The owner of my LFS has checked it out after talking to me too. He's the only guy around not afraid to bring in some "not so popular" fish. I need to get some of the business cards to leave at his place he'd be cool with that.

Well none of my friends keep fish except one. And it was a goldfish that he killed by cleaning out its bowl with bleach and putting him right back in. But if i did have a friend with fish i would but i dont....i dont have too many friends except for my fish and other animals.

I live in Norway, me and my friend are both members her ( SharkBite) I have tryed to get some more Norwegians to join, but it`s not so such a big interess for monsterfish here as i the states. But im not giving up. :headbang2

I have MFK stickers on the car and on my new truck. As soon as I have the camper shell painted and installed I'll have one in each of the side windows. In fact if Li wants to send me an oversized one I'll put it in the back window of the camper shell...My trucks the size of an aircraft carrier so it's hard to miss...LOL I get asked about it at least three times a week So I just signed up for a promo pack.

I don't have a clue how many actully made it here because I never asked anyone to say I sent them lol.

Fish stores here in Missouri. However I always get a pen and paper and write down “ www.monsterfishkeepers.com (http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/) “ I hope they visited.

They always ask me what do they sell or How much does it Cost? :screwy:

Where at in Missouri? I've left a few MFK brouchers at a few of them...;). I don't know how many people I have personally referred to MFK, but I know there are at least 10 here...:D....possibly more! Its hard to refer people though, I mean this site is so freakin big, almost everyone already knows about it! :headbang2
