hi all,
anyone out der can tell me wat do i need to do in order to get my dats to show
their colours?
my tiny fella 1.5", which is also my first dat, is doing fine. the 3 big ones (5"/6"/7") are not. i just bought them in staggered days from some guys selling in the arofanatics forum. e 7" was first in e tank and showed his colour on & off till i got e 6" abt 2 days ago & both their colours wouldn't show. :mad: same with e 5" i just got today.
anyone can help me out pls???
It's not something you can control dude.
What kind of datnoid did you buy?

If the fish is stressed it will not show its colors. Give them time, what kind of a setup are you keeping them in?

i've got a 4ft tank w rocks & a black background. im not too sure if it's e black background as some guys from aro forum say white is better :confused: filtration's a DIY sump...

well, it could be the black bkgrd or as Vitaliy said stress. you can't control. watch their colours after water change. mine brighthens after WC. dun know why??

black bgrd 3 ft tank w 1 big pc of driftwood & small rocks/pebbles.

hi freeform, have tried white makes no diff. act wat i did was on e pwdhead for a while & their colour showed thou not extremly bright, then i turned it off & till now so far so good, at least can c some orange n not all black like my bckgrd!
You'll have to face it, most indonesian tigers don't show good color.

They are probably stressed and scared let them be and they should be fine

try throwing in some small fishes for them to bully. might juz work. my ST brighthens when its chasing the smaller IT.

Try placing broad leaf plants in there (doesnt have to be real) . Its not a guarantee but it will certainly make them at ease as they like to lie in ambush among plants and shaded areas.
