I was wondering if there is any possible way to keep a largemouth bass with any type of large aquarium fish such as JD or Jags. I read that they can tolerate the same water conditions so I was thinking about keeping one if possible. Thanks. Oh, by the way it is a 55 gallon with a Jd,Jag & a Channel Cat.

no large mouths dont need any special water conditions, i dont know alot about jags so i couldent tell u about that, id say they would be fine but ive kept a large mouth with my pacu's

The jag and the channel cat are already going to outgrow your 55 very quickly. I wouldnt add the extra bioload to the tank.

I agree with rallysman. Your tank is WAY too small for those fish.

Agreed, I think you will find your tank a bit crowded with both the JD and jag.

Mine grew from an inch to 12 since last October. He has gone through three tank sizes and will be moving again, hopefuly soon.

Aren't the water temp. requirements slightly different for the large mouth? Have you seen any ill effects keeping the largemouth at higher temps-or conversely the central amer cichlids at lower temps?

with good filtration you can keep all three fish in there for right now at 6 inches but u will want to upgrade in a month or so

oh yeah and you do not need a 250 for a LM unless the fish was somhow frekishly huge , but the do get over a foot and really fat
