im planning to buy a jardini and i wanted to throw in some little btch fish in there too, just to make the aquarium look a lil more full. are there any readily available fish that stay small and are wayyyy to fast for most fish to catch? if the jardini does catch them its coo has anyone attempted something similar to this?

I got some tiger barbs, and gut loaded them for a little while then they went into the aquarium with my silvers, and they weren't even close to fast enough.

I alway use either danios, giant danios, or rainbow fish. They work really good, plus danios are crazy fast and always on the move.

lol, the barbs will be with the jardini as a baby so as it grows up it mite not consider them as food, hopefully. will it be a problem if the jardini and the barbs are the same size? will the barbs bully the jardini?

thanks for the input about the danios and rainbowfish. i'll probably just go with the barbs, they are frikin easy to find where i live. i mite pick up some danios if they are sellin em though.

I raise fish up with my old siver aro hopeing he wouldn't see them as food either, well it didn't work out so well, and he got a nice meal.

Theres always a chance though. Just be careful with the tiger barbs cause they may nip at his fins, so make sure you get a least five like you mentioned earlier.

cool. is it a generally accepted fact that when they are kept in groups they will not bother other fish?
