So we keep having new threads started for newly discovered plecos. Time to consolidate.

Or it was just scientifically identified. B. dematoides and h. subviridis were only described last year.

well there has been 4 discoveries (with scientific names, if not more) just in the ancistrus group. 2 of those in 2005. what is this thread for. when they are newly discovered as of now, or just anything recent and not newly discovered? im confused

Its intent is for newly discovered plecos, I'd say within the last 5 years or so is good.

there are so many. its way to extensive. here is just a FEW from last year. and these are only scientific names, there are even MORE that have not been given a scientific name but have been discovered. in past 5 years, your looking at a 50 or so Loricariidae, and over the past 10 years there has been hundreds. but anyway a minor few from 2005:
