Where I live there are a ton of Geckos, besides damaging the insurance institute, is there any harm in feeding my fish small geckos? Thanks.

Doubt it. :) I gave my fish a lizard that drowned in my yard. Not a gecko though.:grinno:

On arofanics in the feeding gallery, I believe their are pics of a guy feeding his aro a gecko. When my aro is big enough I am going to try and feed mine an anole lizard since I have a store around here that sells them for $2 a piece.

Gawd I love this guy... If the fish is right then so is the bait. I've seen baby ducks eaten by catfish and I have caught some NICE bass on on lizard lures. Give it a try when you get the chance.
P.S. I like Geckos. Not to eat of course, but I dated one once.

I feed my silver gecko all the time. I also feed chameleon.
Since my dog seen me catch them, I can never find any. He always kills them and leaves them laying around.

get a pond net, that is pretty big and work on hand speed lol believe me you will need it. if its a tokay gecko (look it up on yahoo or google there should be tons of pics) then watch out for the big teeth and agressiveness.

I used to feed my albino oscar pair house geckos... They really LOVED'em, especially the female. Lots of eggs after some live meals. :naughty:

Best regards.

Daniel.

i would if i could. I've seen it ONCE. It doesn't just sit there and wait for me to grab it. I was thinking more on the lines of a gecko trap? I read to cover the rim of a container with some cooking oil or butter and have some food in the middle The gecko will try walk over the oil or butter and then get stuck coz they have no more grip. Dunno of it'll work tho.

send the video of it tied to a lead weight at the bottom of the fish tank to geico

ask for money or the gecko gets it

a lil something like savetoby.com

sqratch, do the oil thing, only make sure that the basket is made of mesh or something so that the thing cant get out, and then take pics, i love gecko pics

Feeding geckos should be fine, but if they are collected in your house or neighborhood I'd be 100% sure that no pesticides are being used. I wouldn't want you to poisen you fish with lizards that have ingested pesticides or insects that have been exposed to them.

To catch geckos or other little fast lizards sqratch, I would suggest trying a small noose. This sounds farfetched but, believe it or not, it works wonders. I have used small nooses to catch anoles tons of times. Just get a long, slender stick and some dental floss or fishing line and make one up. Small lizards freak out when a hand comes at them, but for some reason they stay still for inanimate objects, even if it is a noose that is about to lasso them around the neck.

Na, I've never had an anole hurt its neck on it, and they have some pretty brittle little necks. Just dont jerk hard on it. Let them tighted it themselves as the walk/run away and they shoud be fine.

like a noose knot on the end, or a pull noose?

dacox

A slip knot.... like if you were gonna hang someone or make a lasso

It won't hurt as much as getting eaten by a fish, I'm sure.

I think the lizards neck is the last thing you should be worried about, since its whole body is about to be crushed lol
