In someone elses thread I said i wouldn't call my polleni mean. I now must retract my statement. Today I was watching my tank with my Polleni and a few other Africans in it. Anyway, My albino brichardi and the polleni started to square off I figured the polleni would run as usual but then he took half the brichardi into his mouth. He held him swimming around with him in his mouth for almost 10 minutes before he left him go. I was banging on the glass chasing him around with the net and everything. That brichardi cost me 18 bucks. I did manage to get a picture of it after i gave up on the brichardi:swear: . So my polleni is not mr nice guy after all.

He ate the brichardi I had a hemi. elongatus do that with 2 brichardi many yrs. ago. polleni will eat smaller fish hence the shape & size of thier mouths.

Savage, I've had to do the same thing. Ol' Jack seemed ok with the others, but after he and my Severum squared off a few times like a scene from Matrix, he started headbutting him. The Sev is a bit bigger, but Jack is in permanent solitary confinement (except for a couple of snails). Dem is mean feesh.

Definately. Everything seems to have a penchant for brichardi. When my Christyi began wiping out the other juvenile cichlids in my 55 growout, the brichardi were the first to go O_o.
