a planet where bichirs exists
He has a tiny bump on the bottom ( it doesn't cover the whole bottom). it is on one side of the bichir, and so it's pretty small. On july 10th, My dad and I will clean the 30 gallon tank, and buy metronidazoile. Will he be fine? he has had the bump about a month. he's acting normal, he also is not skinny, and he eats alot. (this threat was started july 9)

could just be a bit of food he ate. mine always get real lumpy after a good feeding

Nice drawing! He's probably just full from his last meal. When I see mine have a bulge like that I just don't feed for a couple of days till I see the bulge go away.

thanks:D ! We will be doing a full tank clean, putting the fish in a bucket, taking all water out, taking gavel out, cleaning filters, putting gravel in, putting water in, and putting fish in. If I cover the ltop of the bucket, will the bichir be traped from escaping? We will probally put a filter tube in their for oxygen.

wo wo wo there buddy. why are you doing a huge waterchange like that? not good for anything in the tank. do a 30% change every 2 weeks. you will be lucky if any of the fish survive a 100% water change.

the fish will be in a 5 gallon bucket with water.
OK so...........im still going to advise against it. way too much stress on the fish. thats no way to properly maintain a tank.
