anyone ever kept one of these?? I know nothing about them, but heard mention of them in a recent issue of aquarium fish magazine. It gives a little info about them, i'm just wondering what they look like and where i could get one. I have a new 55 gallon tanganyikan tank, so i guess a better question would be whether or not i'll be able to keep such an animal with the fish i have in there now. there are three a. compressiceps, one julie, one brichardi, one s. erythmadon, one l. tretacephalus, and a syndontis cat. They are all relatively small....would they become food eventually for one of these eels?? pictures and any info or advice would be greatly appreciated

they dont get that big and are hard to get in. http://www.davesfish.com/ gets them in. They look like your usual eel. not really one to eat whatever will fit.
Makes a nice fit for any Tangy tank. Of course keep a nice lid or youll find it on the floor and a cave for its territory.
LFS here has had some for about 2 months now for $89. dont think they sold any yet cause of the price and not much being known about them.
needs at least 125 gallon tank they get really big

My eel will not stay out of the filter. He just loves it in there. When I feed my Golden Tulip eels and the rubber eels, some of the worm are pick up by the filter and he doesn't have to move to get his food-lazy fish.
