i'm not sure but i think they could be from what I could read. type in ancient fish plecotomus in google search and see what you can find, my pc is acting up so couldnt get into alot of sites

I suppose it depends on your definition of ancient though.

Older than me. lol. Catfish aren't classed as ancients.

Gars 180 million years +
bichirs at least 100 million years+
Lungfishes 200 million years+
the above can be traced back thru fossil records to the years listed-Anne
there are others but I'm most familiar with the listed

they are known to be ancient fishs before they lived thousand of years ago and still exist i guess [ evolution / adaption ]
