Severum's? They're not exactly aggressive, but they are cool looking. They come in green, red, and yellow; all of varying shades.

Honestly though, an oscar is already a little cramped in a 75, just a bit.

Texas cichlid? Warmouth? Lots of choices but please define agressive.

Thanks, the warmouth is a warmwater sunfish that gets to 14" sometimes, more usual is 10-12" and very capable of defending itself without being a killer itself, it looks like a blue gill but with a lot of orange a red around gill area. Texas cichlids are simalar but not as brightly coolered, I've seen warmouths for sale on a couple of pond supply sites.

haha, texas cichlid in a 75 gallon with the oscar would have to be considerably smaller than the oscar or it would ruin the oscars life in a 75. oscars are nowhere near mean enough to handle a texas. there may be some mean oscars out there, but the majority will lose out to the more aggressive fish such as the texas. a 75 is good for your single oscar and bichir, if you want something else get a nice exotic pleco or something of that sort.

Yeah c.mayhem your probably right, warmouths act like t. cichlids and would prob. beat up on the oscar also, he did say agressive, most oscars wuss out.

If he ended up with a male Dovii or Jag he would be SOL.
They would be cramped like whoa.
