I'm not sure how may of you use wave makers fror your saltwaer tank but I was wondering. I'll be upgrading to a wave2k from a wavemaster pro and was wondering about quality. Is there any comments on the wave2k wave system? www.wave2k.com
40,000 GPH on a 90 gallon tank

Isn't 40x turnover a little overkill, can it be dangerous?
Cost? do you really need a new one?

My curent set up is dishing out about... 1600 GPH Thats not enough for SPS corals. I might get a tunze wave box wich dishes out 12,000 GPH. the more current the better:

As you may find I'm crazy about current! it gives fish and corals a more natral habitat and take my fish tank one step closer to a peace of ocean.:D

I saw prototypes of the wave2k, and it can be driven by any external motor. Its actually very easily modded. It doesnt flow 40K gph. Its more around 4K gph at absolute max. There are better alternatives; the wave2k is intank and takes lots of room, but you could get 2 sea swirls and achieve a more random circulation.
Its all about what you like, its your tank.
