how can you tell if a peacock is male or female?

It is possible for different species to hybrize like samurai/hamachan has done it with his pbass....u can either vent the bass or tell by its anal fin...if the anal fin is pointer then its a male...but this process is more guess work but its pretty accurate once u get the hang of it....and its easier w bigger specimens....for venting the male vent should look like o> and the female should be oO...or just check out this thread http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=152070&highlight=venting+peacock+bass
