My roomate has an unclle in the midst of a divorce. The uncle has a large tank, 3'x 3'x8', that has a crack on it's bottom. He will give me the tank for free. If I do a 1/2" overlay with Lexan do you think that will work? It will be a bare tank. The panal will run me around $50. Freebie 500.

I actually seen this on another site and it has a room behind it with filters and chillers and all kinds of electronic gadgets. I wish It were mine, I would stock that thing to the hilt! If I'm not mistaken it will be a salt water tank though...Idunno.
Have you ever seen the aquarium exzibit called "ocean" in the Netherlands? Now thats a huge tank! It has a real shipwreck in it!

Although some may say I have big tanks, I honestly don't consider them large because of the fish I keep. Within 5 years, I would like to build an indoor pond that will be roughly 2 - 3 thousand gallons, but for now, I have:

4 60
2 125
1 200
1 240
1 450
2 600

those big tanks make me feel really bad about my own piddly little things :(

what dimensions are your 600g tanks?

what big fish you keep, redtail catfish and paroons or what?

P45,

I think paroons and rtc's get too large. A 600 is still too small for them in my opinion.

That's why I feel "large" when describing tank size is relative.

600 = 4' x 8' x 30"

I have kept many different kinds of fish, so in my old age, my selection is fairly minimal...

Mainly aro's though, with a few cichlids and rays.
