So it seems that everyone is in agreement that I purchased a Vampire Pleco. After my Adonis passed  I figured I was going to get something not so big when full grown. My lfs had Vampire Plecos for the same price, so I bought it. The more I researched about the Vampire the more I find out that it's more carnivorious that an herbivore. Do they not eat algae at all or can it still do a decent job? What the best water condition for it?

well its from the amazon, so neutral to slightly acidic water would be best. anyway between 23-27ish degrees C would be alright. they arent too fussy if you keep the parameters the same and well oxygenated. they do like a strongish current though. id feed mainly bloodworms and prawns cause they are predominantly carnivorous, but it'll still need a bit of veg. it wont do a decent job at your algae, if it even tries the job, id be suprised. sorry about your adonis. but you got a nice galaxias there
