hi i have a flower horn that wont eat the flakes i give my other fish wat do flower horns eat if u can please write bak

Try pellet....might just be what he's used to. Either way if he goes a good week w/out food it shouldn't kill him and he'll start eating flake or whatever. Tell him to have a nice warm glass of shut the he11 up and like it!! :y220d:

Try feeding normal cichlid pellets. You can also try beefheart.
Crickets can entice even the most picky eaters to eat. Eventually getting your flowerhorn to accept a variety will ensure it will try anything.

I think I read on here about some1 wrapping pellets in ham to get there fish to eat.

i bought a FL last week and it started eating straight away. I've been feeding it Tetra Colorbits and Hikari Gold sinking pellets. Did you get it from a LFS? If so ask them what they have been feeding it.
