does any one know any good metods of traveling with fish, i have a lake in WI and i would like to bring some fish back and put them in my tank but its 5hrs away. i tryed putting some minnows in a bucket with bubbler but half of them died. i dont wanna take that risk with a rock bass or nice sunfish.

i would use the motorized pump but also take some fresh water to do water changes along the way. its a crowded space and the lack of fresh water is what might have made the minnows kick the bucket.

I would try using a large cooler and have a smaller fish in the cooler do the water changes and use the bubbler. Remeber to not fill the cooler too full as you do want the air space, I would think that it would be best if you had just enough water to cover your fish, less it is a really tall container/cooler.
