I've never seen an adult M. albus but, you may have both Synbranchus marmoratus (left) and Monopterus albus (right).

BTW, how much for the 2? I'm thinking I want to investigate the differences a little further.

You will have to talk to Andre about the pricing.. I am getting ready to remove them from the 375g because I believe they are getting picked on..
Are they susceptible to any sorts of skin fungus? I know they are tough as nails and my personal tests have discovered alot, but it looks as if they are having some skin/slime issues. I will be isolating them both in a 90g tank to see how companionship plays out, and probably using a small dose of Pima/Mela to clear up any issues..
Let us know Phil because I would love to get these things out of here :)

how large are those?
The one on the left is around 4ft. when stretched out, as it takes up half of the 8' tank. The other one is slightly shorter, I would say around 40"..

STOP THE PIMA/MELAFIX!!. These eels, though tough as nails, have gills that react badly to these 2 meds. They are prone to fungal infections once their slime layer is compromised. A good slime booster will take care of the covering. Salt and temp will fix the fungal infection. I have a 150 not doing anything that I can let them have until I finish the rack for the 4 260s I just ordered.

well I didn't dose it yet ;)
Thanks for the reply.. The tank is already at 82 and salted, so they are doing better now.. It was the move I think that stressed em out.
edit: Because it jumped out of the net and fell on the floor? :( my bad!

They really look all buddy-buddy with each other. Oddball definitely wants. I have a grecian amphora that would make a great condo for these 2.
