Exactly what the title says. Not quite sure what I am looking for yet, but put what you would get. Thanks for all your input!

Clown loaches are really peaceful. So you could pretty much putt anything you want in with them.
You just have to take into consideration, that they grow really slow. So don't put anything in there that will out grow them, like many of the preditory fish.
You could make a really nice 125 community tank around the clown loaches. Or anything else that you thing won't outgrow them and eat them.

Would discus work with the CL's?

i dont think a discus would be a problem, they have small mouths and are peaceful.

Would discus work with the CL's?
Yeah they would be fine, my LFS has a big discus display tank, with a bunch of different size discus and about 6 clown loaches, and a bunch of corydoras.

I use to have my clown loaches in with a bunch of frontosas. The mix of orange and black stipes, with the blue and blacks stripes was pretty cool, on the light sand.
Plus they all grow really slow, so they would be a good match.

Were they hard to keep since the CL are prone to ich or no?

What I do to avoid ich is I keep the temp of the tank at least 82*F. At 80*F or above ich ussually cant survive.
I do this and I haven't had ich since I can remember. A good 5 years for sure.
So yes, they did do good together and there was no ill effects on either fish. Plus the higher temps speed up their metabalism, and helps them grow a bit faster.

a school of bosmani rainbowfish would look nice.
you should always quarantine the new fish before adding it to your loach tank. it's the best way to prevent them from getting ich.
I would get twelve more clown loaches.

get some species of top and middle dweller, the clown loaches can be kept with many species of fish.

the only problem with discus is the loaches whould really stress them out wen they are bigger and start playin'...
