My casting hand's getting twitchy just watching those clips!

But damn, it makes me cringe when I see the way those guys hand the big fish by those jaw grips. Can you imagine the damage done to the delicate blood vessels in the fish's throat latch when the whole weight of the fish is hung from the jaw without supporting it's weight on the belly as well? Especially when the fish struggles?

A study was done over here on fish survival rate after release, and it was found that alot of big fish that were hung that way died a few days after release. Survival rates of fish that were supported by a hand under the belly, or best of all not pulled out of the water at all, but dehooked in the water, were much higher.

it is quite tragic. Most fishermen dont care or are not educated enough.

People like JuanTamad really make the sport into a wretched thing.

those vids are EFF'n AWSOME especially the CiChLa being caught... my thumb is twitch'n for my baitcasters.....
