Gars in Indiana rivers

Ok, My Aunt lives on The White River in Southern Indiana.
She said that when she and her dogs splash around by the banks, that tons of Gars come to see what's going on.
Does anyone know what kind of Gars these might be?

I know they got Alligator Gars in Indiana, they are rare but they got ‘em.

only gars it couldn't be then are Cuban, Florida, and Tropical.

it could be Gator, Spotted, Longnose, and Shortnose gar.

I think they would be spotted as we catch them up here in a few Ontario lakes. We catch them by accident - when using top water lures for largemouth bass. Shortnose as well.
