dont waste your money on flakes

a 13 inch clown knife wont get full off of flakes, they just arent filling enough.

I wouldn't keep it on flakes. They are way to messy and it would take a lot to fill it up. You could put tons in but most would end up in the filter.

If it eats flakes of all things, you should be able to get it on pellets. That would be a much better choice than flake. Less of a mess too.

While you are giving it flakes, mix in some pellets to give him the idea that they are food too. You can keep giving him flakes as a treat.

If he eats the same volume of flakes that he has of feeders I say go for it.

Cichlids pellets should be fine.

I fed my silver aro hikari cichlid gold and he loved it.

Sometimes, my CK has no choice but to eat those flakes as that's all he gets. He likes it but I agree that he would need a LOT to get full!

Feed it some Hikari Pellets instead. Flakes aren't going to fill it up.

hikari food sticks would be good as well.
