was out fishing and caught a baby copperhead about 9". it bit me twice on the nuckle and nothings happened. its been two weeks this comming monday. any ideas why i didnt have a reaction? ill post a pic of the snake later....i still havnt loaded it.

maybe its not poisonous
maybe it got on the nuckle where there is just skin
small snakes tend to be more lethal than big snakes
copperheads are not as good at injecting poison as say a cobra or rattlesnake
they have to chew some to get a good dose

I'll have to agree with this. Not sure exactly what specie, but not a copperhead.lovespunaround;484901; said:
Probably a non-venomous snake, would be my guess. Are you planning on keeping it? If so, give it a mouse, and watch how it kills it, ie striking or suffocation.
