Came home to find this. Is this a bad sign?
Is it bad that it swalled it tail first??
Thanks,
Steve

Nah just a pictus cat I couldnt catch.
This had to happen oneday.
Could be bad... Can you catch the mono and snip the fins from the Pictus so he can swallow or try and remove the pictus as to me there is no way that catfish is going down like that.
One of my old pikes swallowed a small featherfin cat athe same way. after a couple of days i had to resort to removing the fins so he could get it down as there was no way otherwise.
Hope it turns out well Steve goodluck

surprising, pictus cats have 3 long sharp spines that are used to lodge in attackers' throats...

Yep :iagree:
My cousin got his Pictus cat tangled in his net when he was acclimatizing it. We couldn't get it undone so we cut the net as close cut as we could and in bout a week the Pictus got out of the tiny piece of mesh that was tangled!

Poor cats...such is life though i guess. I've had to strip tanks down all the way to catch smaller fish...lol...and use more than one net. Try my best never to leave fish that are too small that aren't feeders in the tank with my large preds....just not fair to the smaller fish. I mean, your trapped in a tank with a fish that is capable of eating you....what can you do? lol
