I hear damsels are vicious!

Why not get a mantis shrimp? I have one in a small tank and he's a bad ass for sure :swear:

Go brackish. Get a F8 Puffer and a Butis Butis.

BigFish, this is the last time I am going to repeat this. Do your homework. I have kept these fish. You will enjoy them.

You can even make it 'false marine'

Which means you set it up with everything so it looks like a saltwater tank, but you barely add any salt. Use crushed coral and coral peices as decor. It will look like a saltwater tank, but will be less expensive and lower maintenance.

Brackish would be good, a twenty would hold a couple of the smaller inshore sculpins and the only thing bigger than their mouths are their appetites. I catch 3" inch fish on 4" lures quite often. Most sculpins are bottom lurking ambush predators and the often mouth wrestle with each other, cheap and amusing, And if you don't use a heater you can use natives from the washington coast or puget sound, there are many types ranging in max size from under 2" to over 2".

If you want something really cool get an angler fish or frog fish. Buy a small one (they can be expensive for the colorful ones) and let it grow up in your tank. Trust me, you'll love em. They learn to lure when they see you, so you will feed them. Feeding can be expensive though if you can't get him to eat frozen krill or silversides or unless you live near the ocean.
