Those Cichla Temensis you sent today are awesome thank you. I reckon you may have to get a new ruler as they are definitely bigger than 4".

You were right about not being able to mix them with my Orinocos and Azul Cichlas as they are miles bigger.

Cheers mate

Top programme showing the cichla. The festivum and arrowana would have looked a lot better swimming than for food not to mention the big Megladoras Cat.

Even better though was Planet Earth, they must have the patience of Job to get all those shots; sod being a seal or penguin!!!

Great programme, good to see the old place again!
Good examples of Orino and Temensis!

Great filming on the Planet Earth! None ever feels bad for the fish though! Poor seals getting eaten, when the seals were eating the herring noone cared about them.
I see the sharks eating the seals as vengence!

Saw this kinda late... but heard you had more... well hopefully not more of what is pictured. None of them are Azuls (piquiti)... sorry to say. A lot look like Pinimas or "lower amazons" whatever you wanna call them! :) Also... I don't want to derail.. I just wanna help!

Hi no probs, only I came across this page curtacy of Richie :headbang2 Cichla piquiti (http://cichlidae.com/gallery/species.php?s=1671)
and if you view the young pic HERE (http://cichlidae.com/gallery/picture.php?p=1830) it looks like my larger ones. Mine are just starting to get the deep blue/green in their tails. Will give up dated pic when I get chance.
