I am considering setting up a pico crab tank (<2.5 gallons) for my teacher's two pea sized crabs. Do you all have any suggestions? I was thinking sand as a substrate, and maybe a piece of live rock. What do you all think?

tank i want to use (http://www.petsmart.com/global/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=84552444177 6904&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302030056&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=2534374302023693&bmUID=1159471719114&itemNo=3&Nao=0&In=Fish&N=2030056&Ne=2)
it's a 2 gallon set up for 2 crabs that are pea sized and are living in a beaker right now
I wouldnt use the tank you had show, I think the crabs would like a tank thats a lil longer maybe even a standard AGA 2.5 tank. The type of crabs you are looking to setup a tank for do they come out of the water at all? I would use the 2.5 AGA tank with a sand substrate a few small pieces of liverock with a flo. top and maybe an aquaclear filter and heater. do you plan on putting anything else with the crabs?

It is just a display tank for the crabs. I might do the 2.5 gallon AGA tank depending on the price. They shouldnt need a heater, the room is always warm and I have never seen a 10 watt heater before. They really don't need much space to move around, they are the size of a PEA!
The AGA 2.5 shouldnt be more then $7.99 and they have a heater for a 2-5gallon tank. But if your going to keep just the crabs I guess you dont need a heater. I'm pretty sure your going to want other things in the tank tho.

Maybe a piece of live rock but the focal point of this is the crabs. I don't want anything to eat the crabs, since the class I am taking is about marine organisms native to Delware's Bays and coast.
