anyone here have experience/knowledge about some of the larger species of freshwater crab that are available in the hobby? Is there a freshwater crab specie out there that gets big enough, fast enough, to be housed with middle-large fish like bass or cichlids? Or would I have to stick with large crayfish for such crustacean needs?

In Thailand there are some red and black fw crabs that get at least 5" across. they can catch and eat fish bigger than they are and will def. eat your crays. I saw some in San Francisco being sold as "soldier crabs" back in 85.
