i got this guy last june 27th at about 8".. at that time he had some cuts on his dorsal and a portion of caudal fin was torn out.. his limbs were also cut short.. these were probably done by some tankmates while in the lfs..

he's now grown to about 10" :) ..

his limbs have grown back considerably but the cuts on his fins have little change or improvement.. does it really take that long for them to regenerate their fins?

awsom dude. i been wanting one. if this 40 gal doesnt leak now that i got it filled im gonna pick one up and move my fish around. what ya been feeding it
it got any tank mates? hows its agression?

thanks.. i've been feeding him beefheart, shrimp and anchovies :)

tankmates are a red hook, black barred and ordinary silver dollar.. so far no problems with aggression :)

Very nice kido ! It has fattened up a lot since you got it.
Any other tankmates in there? Does it move around a lot?

Theres an albino lh here in my local lfs and i swear its still in the same position
last time i visited the store. It never moves =)

really? mines pretty active especially when he's hungry... he even goes up to eat the floating pellets i feed his tankmates which are black barred, red hook and ordinary silver dollars :)
