HELP! After King Kong parrots mate how long does it take for female to hatch eggs?

Femail parrots don't need a male to lay eggs.

Eggs won't hatch without a proper male. Rams cannot fertilize Parrot eggs.

The eggs are fertilized as they are laid. But aren't male BP virtually all sterile anyway?

Yes, I hate a female that would lay eggs without a male in the tank. The female will lay the eggs and the male will swim over and fertilize them. But only male Central American Cichlids can fertilize the eggs and Rams are South American so even if you female Parrot paired with the Ram it could not fertilize the eggs.

They won't hatch males are infertile. Theyll get fuzzy and moldy looking. Luckily for you parrots are hoes and they will breed with about anything.

Some stray facts that are missing from this thread:

Fish like cichlids do not fertilize internally, the male and female must both be present at the time of egg-laying for eggs to be fertile. Spawning takes many forms, but fertilization is (afaik) always as the eggs are laid or as they are held in the mouth after being laid. Other fish like livebearers do fertilize internally.

Blood parrots are the result of a hybridization between different species of South American cichlids and are not a real species that can continue to reproduce generation after generation.

Females can and do lay eggs all by themselves. Instinct drives the reproductive behavior even without a male around to make it meaningful. It is useful, though, in the prevention of egg impaction.
