Phago maculatus, around $30 gets 10" max. and is a very distinctive monster.

a pair of Figure-8 Puffers.. They will tear the crap out of things.. You could also add a Butis Butis, which is a nice brackish ambush predator.

If you are looking for something to slam its face on the glass.. I wouldn't reccomend putting it in a tank that small.

Those are all really good suggestions but this tank is at my dads and I was looking for something a little easier to take care of. It is my fault though because I did not explain myself. I am sorry because I was in a rush so it is my fault, but I couldnt find anything on the nat or carrib could somebody please explain? Thank you Chad.

Sound like you need a convict cichlid. Pretty aggresive and what some would call "a real man's fish".

You know I havent had one of those in a while. That sounds like a really good idea. I jsut wish I still had my old one he was an absolutley beautiful male with really long fins. He was a pink. Thank you for the suggestion and please keep them coming because I know alot of people have 29 gallons just laying around. Thank you Chad

I just got two firemouths for my 29g. They are not very aggresive but damn are they good looking fish. I also have N. brichardi in a 20g and they are super nasty. I had a male kill three females till he found the right one.

Nats and caribes are piranha but kept alone they turn into big babies, phagoes will allow 3 and a bagdad cat in a tank that size. Or go brackish and get a peir of archer fish for around $50

they are very aggressive eaters. they do best in packs ten plus. they don't get too big. i have heard of people matching thier fish count and the amount of gallons in the tank. they do need crowding to prevent deaths from bullying. when feeding time comes they pack up on thier prey like pirahana

I really want a dwarf snakehead but I dont think I can get one because I live in Michigan. I have wanted a snake head for a long time now but I am pretty sure I cannot have them in Mich. Thank you.

You can try a few things: as for cichlids:

Salvini's... these little guapotes are feisty and don't get anywhere as large as their massive cousins - the Dovii, Managuense, etc.

As said before: Convicts

I think you are searching for a catfish:

pictus cats... yeah.. laugh now, but they're voracious little things...

But those are basically somemore choices you can look to.

Pictus catfish are great...perfect substitute for anyone who wants a shovelnose but cannot house one.

29gal is too small to put in any monster fish. coz they grow too big.

Sometimes the monster is in the attitude, leaf fish are hellacious predators and fairly small.
