So, my brother has a pleco is in his tank. He thinks its common, I disagree. I figured we could let the masters decide.

Its a catfish, but definitely not a pleco. I know its a synodontis, I believe stotty is right on the species...

Oh, geez. Well I guess we were both wrong then. I've never had either kinds, is there any other info yall can give me on them? Tank size?

yup, think stottys right. you can feed it catfish pellets etc. not to sure on them

He is correct. I have a syno. eruptus. It will eat whatever you put into the tank. Don't eat live fish. At least mine doesn't. Pretty simple fish to keep. Not really agressive, and usually is a nocturnal fish. Great bottom feeder.

yea a synodontis euruptis. I've wanted to get one for a long time but have put it off.. looks like a jeuvenile. got some nice finnage going there.:thumbsup:
