just got him 2 days ago he is veeeery shy i think imma go get another one to see if he colors up
what species. yup it is very shy!

thinbar thats all i know. when i got him he was doing the same thing in there tank bunched together with other dats. Think if i get another one they would do better??

Yes, it looks like a thinbar dat, Datnioides undecimradiatus. I'd recommend 3 or more dats to minimize any potential aggression between two dats. That should make it more active. Either that or it's very depressed about your Mets. :(

maybe your right, maybe it is depreeesed cuz of the mets...lol:D ....yeah imma go on saturday and get 2 more
Mine is about the same size. He is somewhat shy but has colored up really nicely. I want to add some fish when I am confident he is comfortable.

my 2 got comfy in 2 days. still not lap runners but they not as shy on comin out.
Looks like he find a nice duck off to chill in.
